3 Reasons Dentures Are Not A Long-Term Solution

Reason 1 - With dentures you can't chew your food well.

Dentures are uncomfortable, bulky, and they negatively affect your ability to chew and enjoy the food you love. With dental implants you will have the same feeling and function as having natural teeth.

Reason 2 - Dentures affect the way you speak and taste food.

Dentures can cause us to speak with a lisp and limit our ability to enjoy crispy food such as a sweet apple, or a juicy T-Bone steak. Our life revolves around food, and not enjoying it is fullest would be a travesty,

Reason 3 - Dentures don't stop bone recession.

Bone loss is one of the biggest problems with dentures. Without teeth attached to the jaw, the bone will begin to shrink, altering the structure of your face - giving you wrinkles and making you look older.

5 Question To Ask Your Dental Implant Provider Before Committing To Surgery

Q. 1 - What is your education and professional experience?

The more you know about the dental implant procedure, and your dental implant specialist, the calmer you’ll be when you decide to move forward with this decision, which can be a big and scary one.

Q. 2 - Do you use a 3D CT scan or a traditional 2D x-ray?

It's important to focus on the technology the dentist uses in his office to ensure that the dental implant is placed with the precision, minimal discomfort and very little downtime after the procedure.

Q. 3 - Will the implant be made and placed at the office?

Some dental offices outsource the fabrication of the implant to a dental lab, while others have the expertise and equipment to do it in-house. This way, the doctor has control over the process.

Q. 4 - Do you consider other medical conditions?

Considering the underlying medical conditions of a patient that begins his implant surgery is extremely important as it can affect the placement of the implants and a patient’s healing process.

Q. 5 - Will you be accessible after the procedure?

The after-care a patient receives after their implant surgery is just as important as the procedure itself. Proper post-op attention ensures the wound heals correctly and the patient feels at relaxed.

Common Questions

How much do dental implants cost?

Every procedure is different because every person is different. In order to get an accurate estimate of the costs associated with a dental implant procedure, we need to see your scans and go over your specific needs.

Implant Bridges, Zygomatic Implants and traditional implants for teeth are a premium solution to tooth loss and therefore are more of an investment than temporary solutions such as dentures, however, with maximizing insurance coverage, and payment plan options available, we work to make it an affordable option for almost anyone.

Do you take insurance towards dental implant procedures?

The amount your insurance will cover is based on your provider and your unique situation. Of course, we will know that once you complete the necessary exams and review everything at your consultation.

Will the dental implant procedure be painful?

You will be fully sedated during your procedure, so there will be no pain. You won't feel a thing! After the surgery, you will have mild discomfort that can be managed with over-the-counter pain medication.
